Many older folks shuffle into the weight room, hunched over and stooped, and slump down on, into, and onto the machines. They go through their routine, short of breath and red-faced, and shuffle out of the weight room just as they walked in.
Admittedly, that’s better than nothing. But with good posture, it would be many times more effective. Find a maintenance program for your bones and joints. Improve your posture before you reach for the dumbbells or the machine handles. That way, your strength training will become high-quality training. You’ll feel the difference right away.
