About the Person
Elisabeth Bender-Clausen
Elisabeth Bender-Clausen, 55, is a speech-language pathologist and voice therapist who takes a holistic approach. In her work, she does not view the voice in isolation, but rather as an expression of the entire body—connected to posture, breathing, emotions, and inner organization.
She works with people who have voice disorders following surgery, due to functional impairments, occupational strain, or in an artistic context. A central focus of her work is to help those affected regain access to their own awareness: How does the voice change when the body is properly aligned? What happens when tension is not simply created but organized?
The CANTIENICA® method forms an essential foundation of her work. It facilitates a precise, deep connection between the feet, legs, pelvis, spine, head, and voice—and opens the way to greater resonance, stability, and relief.
