Rita Oberholzer: “Form is something external. Shape goes deeper.”

About the Person
Rita Oberholzer
Rita Oberholzer, 68, is a CANTIENICA® instructor, sculptor, and former high school teacher. As a scientist and longtime educator, she combines analytical thinking with precise body awareness and a clear, straightforward teaching style.
She didn’t discover the CANTIENICA® method until after her 50th birthday. It wasn’t pain, but rather the desire to regain her declining mobility that led her to start training. What began as a personal experiment quickly turned into a passion. She soon completed the training and integrated CANTIENICA® into the daily routine at her high school, where students, teachers, and staff attended her classes.
Today, Rita Oberholzer teaches at the CANTIENICA® Studio in Zurich as well as online. At the same time, she devotes herself to her second great passion: sculpture. Whether working with stone, marble, or wood—her focus is always on bringing form to life from within.
She combines her experience in art, science, and movement to create a teaching style that uniquely blends clarity, precision, and body intelligence.
