Pia von Nell: “Those who learn to draw on their inner strength rather than external force change their attitude, their impact—and often their entire lives.”

About the Person
Pia von Nell
Pia von Nell, 39, lives in Berlin and works as a CANTIENICA® instructor.
She was introduced to the method nine years ago through postpartum recovery exercises. Getting started was an unfamiliar experience. At first, she couldn’t translate the precise—and at times unusual—instructions into physical sensation.
Over time, that changed. The back pain caused by years of office work subsided and eventually disappeared entirely. At the same time, I developed a new understanding of my body: the deep muscles are working, while the superficial muscles are relieved of strain.
This gave rise to a form of strength that is based not on effort, but on coordination. Agility, lightness, and presence increase. Posture becomes visible—and makes an impact.
A defining moment in her work: A participant reports being pain-free for the first time in years. Shortly afterward, even her physical therapist comes to the training session to see for herself.
For Pia, the method has long been more than just a workout. It has become a professional and personal anchor.
