… he only talks louder when I'm pregnant!
Becoming a mother is a magical yet challenging time. Although, as a CANTIENICA® instructor, I had already cultivated a good relationship with my pelvic floor and body before my pregnancy, I had no idea that training during pregnancy would provide me with even deeper insights. Whenever discomfort crept in, it was my CANTIENICA® “emergency kit” that helped me get back to enjoying a beautiful and carefree pregnancy.

Right from the start, I found it difficult to cope with daily life because of morning sickness and fatigue. But as soon as I started exercising again, all the physical and emotional tension melted away. The gentle and empathetic approach of the CANTIENICA® method literally put me back on my feet and sparked positive emotions that also benefited my baby.
As my baby’s weight increased and I began to feel pain in my sacroiliac joint area and ligaments, I didn’t want to accept this as a “normal side effect” of pregnancy. I began to focus even more intensively on my postural patterns and my pelvic floor muscles using the CANTIENICA® method.
I noticed how my feet were turning inward more and more, my pelvis was tilting further forward, and my chest was shifting out of alignment. So during my training, I started working more on my foot alignment, stretching the inner side of my heel caps, shifting my weight back toward my heels, fanning out both psoas muscles, and stretching them up to the diaphragmatic loop. I saw results quickly—within a few days, I was symptom-free again.
When I was told around the 34th week of pregnancy that I would likely have to schedule a C-section because my baby hadn’t turned yet, I was also taken aback.
Here, too, I began to look at the situation through the Cantian lens: How are the body’s form and function connected? I came to the conclusion that the child simply hadn’t been given enough space to turn around.
So in my daily life, I began to actively support the pelvis’s natural V-shape even more. Instead of leaning back in my chair, even when I was heavily pregnant, you’d see me sitting on the edge of the chair with my feet spread apart in a V and my pelvis aligned. It didn’t take long before the baby had actually turned and settled into the pelvis, ready for birth. Thank goodness!
The birth took a long time and was beautiful, self-directed, and in harmony with myself. A natural birth, without any medical interventions or birth injuries. Thanks to CANTIENICA®.
Even after giving birth, CANTIENICA® helped me reconnect with my body quickly. Everything was different, but still within reach and not at all unfamiliar, since I had already been regularly engaging with my pelvic floor beforehand. The “string exercise,” “Belly Button X,” and the “hourglass muscles,” as well as diaphragmatic breathing, turned out to be true lifesavers for my rectus diastasis. And all this without excessive training—after just a few high-quality training sessions, my body’s own intelligence kicked in.
Even my little CANTIENICA® baby is already happily joining in the exercises today, as if she remembers the vibrations of the Levator Ani Pulse and lets herself be rocked along by them. The orthopedist had diagnosed her with hip dysplasia after birth, and CANTIENICA® proved helpful here as well. By gently rotating her thighs outward, I supported the natural alignment of her leg axes, and lo and behold, as if by magic, this problem resolved itself.
Pelvic floor exercises are often only considered after pregnancy, even though both the body and the baby benefit from them even before then. Personally, without CANTIENICA®, I probably would have felt overwhelmed at many points during my pregnancy, which is why I’m all the more grateful that it was part of my routine from the very beginning. With each passing month, I gained more vitality and a greater zest for life.
I felt so good that I even completed the Silver Level of the CANTIENICA® training program during my eighth month of pregnancy. Today, I can confirm from my own experience that this method is the best thing that can happen to an expectant mother.
After all, a well-trained pelvic floor knows how to relax during childbirth, promotes the body’s natural recovery processes, helps with handling the baby, and does much more than that.
Every expectant mother deserves CANTIENICA®!
