Alice Schwarzbach: “Motivation comes from role models.”

About the Person
Alice Schwarzbach
Alice Schwarzbach (54) is deeply engaged with the question of how people can shape their aging in a conscious, active, and self-determined way. A key focus of her work is motivation: how it arises—and how it is sustained, especially during stages of life when society tends to view withdrawal rather than personal growth as the norm.
She highlights just how strongly our inner images of aging are influenced by family and societal norms—such as the lack of powerful role models in our parents’ and grandparents’ generations. Alice challenges these inherited notions and invites us to develop new, empowering images.
Through her attitude, she shows that strength, presence, and a zest for life are not a matter of age, but of an inner decision. Personal growth never stops—it begins when people take responsibility for themselves and find the desire to actively shape their own lives and bodies.
