CANTIENICA®- Training is an intelligent form of fitness and the ideal training for more flexibility, an optimal posture and a captivating charisma. You quickly achieve visible results and feel more strength, more ease and life energy.
We believe that your body is an absolutely great construction. However, in order for it to develop its full potential, it should be used correctly. With us, you’ll learn how to. You learn to perceive and use your body in a completely new way. In this way, you can prevent incorrect posture and its consequences from the ground up or positively influence them in a noticeable and visible way. You train with a holistic approach, which more and more therapists and doctors recommend to their clients. The best? Your performance in all other sports and activities improves. As an aside.
The method is incredibly versatile. A classic lesson lasts 60 minutes. Your trainer:in is always putting together new lessons from over 600 exercises. She guides the group through the sequences with words, by demonstration and specific touch coaching. Each person is challenged and encouraged in their personal level of training. You can join us by zoom from wherever you are.

How does a typical class work?
In every class you learn to array your bones. Because when your bones are aligned all skeletal structures work in perfect harmony: fascia, ligaments, tendons, sinews – and musculature. Learn how to train 100 % of your body, not just the surface. Bring quality into every micro movement. Reach the utmost flexibility, strength, resilience and beauty.
How to start?
Frankly, the best way is to just drop in and see for yourself. Your body will tell you very quickly that it loves this revolutionary way to move.
Who teaches?
Very often the founder of the method Benita Cantieni leads the Wednesday lesson. When she cannot, English-speaking trainers will take over her role. Take the unique opportunity to learn from her.
How do I get the link?
After you register, we will send you a link with direct access to Wednesday’s class. If you join the livestream 10 minutes before the class starts, you will receive a briefing on the day’s program and Benita will answer your questions.
When is the class?
It will take place on Wednesday at 8pm CET in Europe. Since the lesson is live, you should check if it coincides with your time zone: If you’re on the East Coast: 2 p.m. EDT, or on the West Coast: 11 a.m. PT.
How can I participate?
Via Livestream: You join the class via a zoom link. No matter if you are at home, at work, in a hotel or in a gym. You benefit from the live and group atmosphere, but you can shorten distances and fit your workout into your everyday life in a particularly time-saving way.

You are especially well prepared if you already train before and during pregnancy. CANTIENICA® training strengthens you on the way to an active birth and promotes rapid recovery. Flexible pelvic joints, supple ligaments & fascia, and strong abdominal and pelvic muscles ensure that the pelvic bones can respond and adapt flexibly during birth. After childbirth, a power pool helps to achieve the optimal figure, “brings the organs home” and stabilizes loosened joints.
CANTIENICA® pelvic floor training networks your pelvic floor with the muscles of your entire pelvis, back, abdomen, hips and thighs. The pelvis is optimally straightened. Performed with properly used pelvic floor and perfectly activated deep muscles, the exercises have an immediate effect. Benita Cantieni founded the CANTIENICA® – Method for Body Shape & Posture in 1997, which is taught in its purest form in her Zurich studio: Align bones ideally and fix them in the deep muscles. This basic tension reaches all the muscles of the body. Central to safety and effectiveness are anatomically appropriate use of the pelvic floor muscles, spinal tensioning, and three-dimensional work with all joints for mobility. Benita Cantieni teaches “theme lessons” and advanced experimentation classes at the Zurich studio.
Jan Koch is studio manager at the CANTIENICA® Studio Zurich and CANTIENICA® trainer. He knows the studio and office inside out. He teaches every Monday evening, does substitutions, and gives private lessons. If you have any questions about the CANTIENICA® method, trainings, studio subscriptions or private lessons, he will be happy to advise you. Jan is also a Shiatsu therapist, which is another reason for his confident coaching skills. Jan’s CANTIENICA® lessons are designed to promote powerful self-awareness in their simplicity.
Bettina Kubli, originally a trained druggist, came to the CANTIENICA® method in 2000 and teaches in her own practice in Wetzikon. Bettina is a Master Teacher of the CANTIENICA® Method, leads trainings in CANTIENICA®-The Coaching and CANTIENICA®-The Power Program. She is a kind of wild card for the Zurich studio: highly motivated and gracious, she teaches three Thursday lessons and fills in whenever she can. Lively, lively, funny and precise – that’s Bettina.
Eva Marugg came to the method four years ago. She had lumbago three times in a row. Attending the CANTIENICA® training made her pain-free within a short time. She felt like she was walking on clouds. “I couldn’t help it. I had to take the instructor training so that I could pass on my positive experience.” Eva also teaches at the CANTIENICA® studio in Zurich. She is a mother of two children and originally trained as a kindergarten teacher.
Sarah Gielen, as a long-time CANTIENICA® instructor, is able to apply her CANTIENICA® experience in her other professions as a psychologist and body/breath therapist on a daily basis. Since 2000 she has completed all CANTIENICA® modules and also teaches in her own studio in Wetzikon and in Bludenz (Vorarlberg). Her regular customers appreciate her authenticity. Their goal is for you to enjoy your CANTIENICA® lesson in a relaxed atmosphere. Sarah Gielen will be taking over regular lessons on Monday mornings starting in September.
Verena Burri is a CANTIENICA® enthusiast from the very beginning. She has been trained in all building blocks since 2000. Verena has been teaching in the CANTIENICA® Studio Fällanden for several years. We are happy that we can benefit from her rich experience in the Zurich studio. In addition to the Friday studio lessons, she regularly conducts faceforming and go! intensive workshops. Since 2012 Verena Burri holds the title “CANTIENICA® -Senior Teacher”, she is responsible for passing on the faceforming know-how.
